About South Park X
South Park X is a South Park fan site that has been on the internet since February 1999. This site was started by Sam and was one of the many very small South Park sites on the internet at the time, with the giants such as Beef-Cake, Kenny’s Hall of Death, The Hell Hole, South Park Deutschland (later known as South Park Germany), South Park Hell, and Sweeet being the bigger web sites dominating the community.
With the death of all of the above great fan sites this left South Park X as the only standing site from the early days. May 2001 saw Comedy Central introduce the official South Park web site (South Park Studios) which is now a very big part of the South Park Community, along with new fan sites that have cropped up over the years including The South Park Scriptorium, South Park Complete, Cartmanland (later known as Awesomo), and The South Park Games Archive. South Park X sees itself amongst these other great fan sites.
Over the past six years South Park X has stuck around from the good times and the bad, the times when we had no good hosting and no money, even the loss of our domain name. The resistance to not stop South Park X has in effect helped South Park X last so long and still be running today.
We have seen many web site closures over the years and many more still to come but with a bit of luck and hard work South Park X will not be one of them.
