This Week on South Park: Guitar Queer-o
An all new episode of South Park airs this Wednesday at 10PM on Comedy Central, 1113 Guitar Queer-o.
Obsessed with the Guitar Hero video game, Stan and Kyle make a great team and score record points when they play. Stan realizes he has the potential for enormous success if he plays with another partner. He and Kyle break up but, without his friend, Stan quickly folds under the pressure of being a rockstar.

Wow! How picky are some people?! At least Trey and Matt are making episodes still. We’re lucky to have something as good as South Park that challenges ideals and socio-constructed norms in our world and more importantly in our country. And to those who are complaining about the game-centric episodes… just relax it’ll be funny! Even if you hate guitar hero it’ll still be funny! My only request to Trey and Matt would be to make an episode about how lame John Mellencamp is! That would be hilarious!

Manbearpig I could see, Towelie and Oprah’s Vagina I could see, heck even when Cartman’s mom tried finding someone to discipline him in Tsst I could agree with an emmy, but not the WOW episode though. Sorry, if thats uncalled for, but it was on the noggin and had to get it off my chest.

For all of you talking about the emmy and what not, think bigger and about how smart the writers are. ‘More Crap’ was pretty much about the emmy. It is a shitty award that means nothing. You may notice how it was pulled from the overlay on the screen and placed into the giant crap Randy took. Not their most hidden symbolism but strong and clear.
The Warcraft episode won an emmy cause it became ‘cool’ to play mmorpgs or at least accepted from the main stream.
I imagine this coming episode will be more about the ass clowns that play guitar hero vs playing guitar hero. If you enjoy it more power to you, I dont like how it ruins the art of music and lets people think they have some amazing gift (Maybe you dont, but others do and because of them, I hate you too).

They thought I like didn’t mention them so I was just clearing that up saying I accidentally forgot. Had I mentioned it otherwise, there wouldn’t be a lot of talk about emmys in the first place if it bothers you so much.

Pat, I wish I could, but WOW is the one game I without a doubt just can’t enjoy on a 24/7 basis. I don’t know why, maybe if I actually found a game that doesn’t peak my interestor what not, but I just simply couldn’t get into the game. I mean I took on like three guys in a battle like a “bar fight” and whooped the pants off them. I guess I found it a little too easy thats why. I like games that give me a greater challenge. Thats why I like single player. It takes me over a good four hours on average to beat (9 being a max if its a newly released game.)

I can well imagine that Trey could not resist doing Guitar Hero. No doubt he saw one of those retards playing the demo at Wal-Mart. I’m sure his reaction was little different than mine when I first saw some curly haired idiot with a queer sense of fashion and a peach-fuzz soul-patch playing Guitar Hero with his mouth hanging open and breathing while clutching the Guitar-Farce in his hands like a cripple—all I could think was: What a f*cking retard…
In any event, this genre and its respective players have already been briefly, yet brutally parodied in the episode with the DDR dancing Asian; however, it will be delightful to have this as the core of an episode. With any luck, we’re looking at another classic on the level of “Make Love Not Warcraft.”
Anyway, I personally can’t wait and have my fingers crossed—self-training in classical keyboard makes the release of this episode extra sweet for me—and even moreso since I found the recent trilogy to be a bit dry on the whole and while still enjoyable, I’m more than ready after three weeks for something like this to take the lead.

Seriously tho’ I hope this will be really good but most of these episodes (bar the WOW one) for me actually only become really REALLY funny when you watch it 2 months down the line and realise so much hidden messages you missed first and second time around. So I think an episode around the 4 boys again would be alot more enjoyable…but hey, Southpark is South Park and will always be good.

When I first saw a plot of this episode, I tought this’ll be another spoof of some game that makes kids crazy.But,few momenths ago I’ve watched “Good times with weapons” and I realized that my first impression on GTWW plot was same.But it turned up to be one of my favorite episodes.
This time my expectation are lil bit higher but I hope that result will be just as good as it was with GTWW

People need to take their self righteous attitudes and stick them up their asses. Guitar hero is just a game, that people play for FUN. It’s not as if the people that play the game think they are good musicians. They are just people who enjoy music, and enjoy playing video games.
For people who cant play a real guitar, its a great way to rock out to some good tunes and feel involved with music. For people who do play real guitar (such as myself and many others) its a fun party game and a great way to chill with friends.
I guess getting a bunch of people together to enjoy music in a unique way is somehow ruining the “art” of it.
People who bash guitar hero either
A – Hate video games
B – Hate music
C – Have never tried the game
D – Have tried the game and sucked balls at it.
Btw none of my friends, or myself are goths.
