Ms. Garrison is looking for love on an all-new episode of South Park airing Wednesday at 10PM EST on Comedy Central entitled D-Yikes!:
When Ms. Garrison is the victim of yet another failed relationship, she takes it out on the fourth graders. Every time Ms. Garrison gets dumped, life becomes unbearable in the classroom. When the boys can no longer handle their teacher’s erratic mood swings and excessive homework assignments, they discover people-for-hire who can help out in any situation.

I wonder if this episode will be more like the social-commentary type that has pervaded South Park lately or if it will be more like the surreal Monty-Pythonesque episodes that characterizes the earlier seasons.
Personally, I preferred Garrison as an in-closet male homosexual than as an openly gay guy or a woman. Do you remember all the times he would talk about poontang? Then Mr Hat would tell him, “You’re not fooling anyone!” I so miss Mr Hat!
I miss Chef too. While I’m sure we’ll never see the usual Chef as a character again, I still think we should petition Trey and Matt to bring him back in an episode featuring him as the Darth-Vader version of himself he became at the end of episode 1001 (“And for dessert, how would you children like to suck on my chocolate salty balls?” -“Oh, you mean like a chocolate candy?” -“No, I mean my balls!”). Besides, it’s not like they need Isaac Hayes to do Chef’s voice if he has become a sort of Darth Vader figure…
Any thoughts on that?

Did any of you ever think that the SP 4 main characters (the boys) are statical, they don’t evolve, and they by all means shouldn’t because that would eliminate the SP’s peculiarity as such. As for me Mr. Garrison is one of the most complicated and sophisticated characters of the show. He’s been developing and evolving since the 1st season and has reached now quite a reasonable stage of his transformation, both physical and mental. I wonder what’s going to become of him in the future?

Well, the boys did evolve slightly. I mean in the first seasons they were just wandering around and swearing (they were hella funny too :D), and a lot of things were happening to them to which they had to react. But in the last half of the seasons, they started to make their own situations, and they are now in a lot of complex social situations. They seem to be even smarter than their parents [especially in episodes like “Child abduction is not funny” (if i remember well, the ones with the Mongolians), when they say things like “my parents are so stupid” or they draw the final conclusion and everybody admits they are right]. I don’t know if I made my point, but it’s my stated opinion :P
The humour in the last half of the seasons became softer and more elaborated, and the boys evolved with respect to that.
Well, I do have to agree with you thinker. Mr. Garrison had the strongest evolution, because of his powerful inner struggles. He is a disturbed and unstable character :P

1st of all Mr Derp is a very underrated character, he kix ass, so does southparkx, ty for providing south park to us poor no cable or satellite saps.
2nd these episodes are just the icing on the filled donuts, the season has been solid IMO, but they will improve, especially on their 2nd leg of the season, cuz now they’ve seen what started so Matt & Trey will really pick shit up more
3rd South Park HAS CHANGED YES!!, but their evolving (and I must say better than Family Guy or Simpsons did) and still when they run out of ideas for writing we get stupid random shit as usual.
