Kris says:

I never trash South Park, since I’ve always loved every episode, but wow….I found this one really unfunny. Very dissapointing. Still, I love 99% of the episodes they put out so that is still a great ratio.
This episode needed more Randy.

8 November 2007, 10:29

supercooltothehomeless says:

they are fantastic, i simply love parker and stone, every week they take a picture of the most embarassing things in usa… great job guys…

8 November 2007, 11:28

Paul says:

I never trash southpark either, im a huge fan and love the episodes, but i was rather disappointed with this episode.. i agree with kris it did need more randy, thats where i saw the real southpark, was with him

8 November 2007, 11:28

Anonymous says:

Kris, Paul, if you understood the episode better and what it was trying to refer to rather than complain, maybe it would be funnier.
get over it, south park isnt about random humor anymore.

8 November 2007, 12:10

Dimitar says:

The song Randy played is Carry On My Wayward Son, by Kansas

8 November 2007, 14:44

8 November 2007, 15:38

Andrew says:

I want Heroine Hero. I wanna catch the dragon!!
btw, to others who thought that episode sucked, as a guitar hero lover, I thought that episode was freakin awesome. It’s no imaginationland, but I was laughin my ass off through most of it.

8 November 2007, 16:29

Mark says:

This episode really doesn’t match the South Park standards…I thought Matt Stone and Trey Parker were on the right track with Imaginationland, but now they really blew it.

8 November 2007, 16:44

Anonymous says:

Mark, if you think hard enough, all of the episodes don’t have to match south park standards, they can do whatever the fuck they can

8 November 2007, 17:33

Dave says:

Yeah Mark, you’re a fool. Imagination land wasn’t even that great

8 November 2007, 18:40

PeEK says:

Well, I have to agree with Kris and Paul, it wasn’t the best one. But hey, these guys are writting the episodes the WEEK before they air it!! You can’t come with a classic every week, even though they’ve made it LOTS of times before!! The episode was still funny, and I’m looking forward next week!

btw, thanx Dimitar for the song name!

8 November 2007, 19:16

8INall says:

I Love the guitar hero franchise… but didn’t find this episode too funny i only laughed from parts with randy and the dragon in heroine hero….. but it’s better then 90% of the crap they show on tv so it was worth watching

8 November 2007, 19:18

Lok says:

This episode is nice, they (Parker & Stone) show us how stupid this game can be. Players seems to give more importance to the game itself than the real guitar. Some people said that they knows how to play guitar just by playing to GH. I like the way they laughing of this facts. But in another hand , this episode didnt containt a lot of joke, except for the GH main joke.

8 November 2007, 19:20

Yamen says:

8 November 2007, 19:57

Some Person says:

Lots of stupid people here who don’t know what this episode is really about…

It has nothing to do with the game… it’s about how rock stars are idiots who fuck up their lives, lose their friends, and take drugs.

8 November 2007, 20:24

ScanaRch says:

What is the title of song that Randy is singing? :>

8 November 2007, 20:25

8 November 2007, 21:58

Lola says:

I agree with Some Person… Its not about the video game…
also South Park is not random toilet humor anymore… I dont understand people who like to watch them to say bad words, squirrel raping a guy and craping out of their mouth…

8 November 2007, 22:28

Hawkeyes says:

Butters: UH-OH!!!! That alone made the episode worth watching!!!! so freakin funny

When Thad went “acoustic” and asked if anyone knew John the Fisherman, I completely lost it! This was one of the top 3 episodes ever… The whole Behind the Music theme was priceless. Thanks, Trey Parker!

I though the statement at the party to Jay Cutler was hilarious. “My Dad says you suck, but that you may be good some day.” Fricken hilarious!!!!!!

9 November 2007, 15:55

Jp says:

if you stream the episode…
at 16:18 – you will notice a quick splice/ glitch
Its right in between the guitar hero crowd booing… and the video game store rehab hero…

it flashes up a orange screen with what appears to be clouds? and it says N

i can’t really make out much else… is this a streaming glitch or a actual splice in the south park episode

9 November 2007, 19:16

Butters says:

‘UH OH!’ that definately made the episode worth watching, however it was not very funny otherwise, kinda boring actually, like the jackoffasaw episode.

10 November 2007, 11:14

Russkie says:

eventually, great episode!!! enough of imaginationlands, please!

10 November 2007, 11:35

Kyle Is So Kool says:

i thought this episode was hilarious, especially the “chase the dragon while injecting yourself with heroin” bit. You can really learn a lesson from this episode… not to blow your friendship or health away for fame, in this case Stan blowing his friendship away with Kyle, getting addicted to “Heroin Hero” just to earn 1,000,000 points on Guitar Hero.

10 November 2007, 12:48

Johnny says:

This episode shows the life of rock “stars”. Very dumb and pointless life, life of selfworship with a big help of media to push the fame up. And than when an artist figures that any idiot can sing or play guitar they get depressed and start chasing the dragons. Indeed many rock stars turn gay when too many women want to sleep with em because of money. I guess when you reach 2000000 points you commit suicide.

10 November 2007, 17:37

T-Kay says:

Hey guys, catch me! C’mon! Catch me! Catch me!
If you don’t catch me, I quit. I quit. I quit, I quit. I quit.

LOL this episode was awesome! >.<

The other solo Kyle song is Poison- “Every Rose Has its Thorn”

12 November 2007, 16:32

Andrew says:

Matt stone dosn’t write the story, check the credits. Trey writes it with his very own writing staff.

12 November 2007, 19:48

charl says:

if you find the story unfunny, watch it again. trey and mat have come a long way since the first 2 seasons. the stories are getting deeper and frankly, way cleverer. with very few exceptions, every episode has been brilliant since the disaster of season 2

14 November 2007, 22:25

the magic dragon says:

how can you be an sp fan and think that the ep was jut about the game or that some people “think too deep” … maybe some peosple don’t think at all

15 November 2007, 00:17

JMD says:

I was disappointed with this episode. Not because I didn’t “get it”; I understood the point they were trying to make about the pointlessness and gratuitous nature of the “rock star” lifestyle. I just didn’t find it particularly funny. It wasn’t horrible, but overall it didn’t impress me.

I’m hoping that “The List” will be better.

15 November 2007, 02:48

Grak says:

Great episode! If yer mature, vote left, free spirited and into psychedelics you’ll love the many puns towards the materialistic world, politics (indirect but still), the social aspects of life and the simple truth about drugs, ghehe. I wish they made more of these well thought of episodes. But somehow i do agree that they should have put in some more of Randy, a stereotype naïve addict together with his ignorance makes him one of the most amazing “ooh what does this button do” kinda characters :D
